My Spring Backlog!
Since someone put a shock pistol to my head(j/k, not really), I'm participating in the Spring Backlog event. In this event, you have to take games which have 0-10% trophy completion and get EVERY TROPHY before the end of May. Actually, the event doesn't start until March 1st, but I've already locked in my list of games. (No pics as I am banging this out minutes before I have to go to Church.)
- Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (my favorite game, story wise, in the series: Worst trophy will be the bike races, but hey, after hoverboarding anything is easier)
- Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal (not so great, but doable: Worst trophy will be the time attacks of the vid-comics)
- Jak 2 (I need to fight this personal demon)
- Jak 3 (And this one :( )
- Rogue Galaxy (At least this game is fun, though the Insectron tournament and Ghost Ship Extreme will be a challenge, and the final boss of the story will be tough)

My first event
So damon8r351 of PSNProfiles.com set up this little challenge for those of you who want to start platinuming games or have games with less than 10% completion. However, I feel that discriminates against the games you ALMOST have the platinum in, so I wanted to throw my own hat into the ring! Ladies and gents, I present...
Event Philosophy: This event is made to be a oath of commitment to complete the games you have declared you will come within the time limit, so please choose games you know you can finish and select a reasonable number. The minimum number of games is five and the maximum is ten. Once you have declared your games at the beginning, you are locked into those games and cannot change remove or replace them. If you've finished your games in the time limit, you are free to add more games if you think you can handle them by the end of the event. Unlike the Spring Backlog event on the PSNProfiles.com forum, this is about the Platinum, not necessarily getting 100% in a game, so if you have DLC, completing the DLC is optional. If you have a moral objection about DLC, I strongly recommend you do not choose a game that has it. AKA beware of LittleBigPlanet 2. ;)
Deadlines: The deadline for submitting your games is March 10th, 2016, at 12:00 AM US CST. All games you have declared to be on your list must have the platinum by June 1st, 2016, at 12:00 AM US CST.
Eligible Games: The following qualities must be present in the games you declare for the event:
- Since this is a "platinuming", the games in your backlog list MUST have a Platinum Trophy on the list. Games like Child of Light or Sly Minigames, that do not have a Platinum Trophy, are ineligible.
- Also, unlike the Spring Backlog event, this event focuses on games which a higher completion. Games in the backlog list must have a 11%-99% completion percentage. Anything under 11% or not even started is fodder for the Spring Backlog event and anything over 99%, well, it has the platinum already so it's ineligible. ^_^
- Cross-saves are ineligible - for example if you get the platinum legit on one Sound Shapes and then sync up with the other versions, then those platinums from the cross-sync do not count. You must earn the platinum by earning all the trophies on the list properly.
- Also, while a game may be on several platforms, they all have the same trophy list so getting the platinum for multiple versions or regions is not feasible either as it's copy-and-paste. You can platinum a second version of a game if the older game has been completed, but you cannot double-up on platinums during the event.
So, enjoy the event!

First Post!
Hello, I am DetectiveCJ on the PSN network.
Yes, I know I have a trophy site already, but that is going to focus more on my platinum trophies. This site is more casual fare - tips for getting trophies, events I set up, and links to videos I watch when I trophy hunt. Stuff like that.
If you want to check out my PSN profile, go to this link. It leads to PSNProfiles.com, the best site for tracking your trophies if you are a trophy hunter like me, or just perusing what people are playing. It has a great forum and even sets up gaming sessions for those of you who need those online trophies.
Enjoy the blog and feel free to leave comments or follow me. Cheers!
